Review by theghost

theghost My second show. I had seem them in Maine, loved them, and subsequently moved to Austin where I didn't expect to see them. I was thrilled to discover that they were stopping in Austin on their way to the well known Colorado run. There were probably only 20 or 30 people at the show. I don't recall much about the show as I had no recordings of them at the time and wasn't familiar with the songs. I do recall them closing with Communication Breakdown, which isn't listed on the setlist. After the show, I met Mike who stared at the ceiling behind me for our conversation. I asked him how I could get their music. He offered to sell me a cassette of Lawn Boy, but said the CD was available at Waterloo Records. I opted for the CD, which I kinda regret. While I'm talking to Mike, I see Trey on the dance floor by himself, doing a wild twirl dance to the power pop band that headlined the show. I've always wondered what he was up to that night...perhaps he had a big evening planned on 6th St.
