The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

Oh yikes, when I started this I did not realize there was a festival set to take into consideration. In terms of my initial hypothesis (that Summer '98 is just as strong as Fall '97) I did not think this run would be watered down with a festival set. There isn't anything to use as a basis for comparison here (there was certainly no festival set in Fall of '97) so I have to just wing it here.
So.. this is a festival set. It is pretty plain with some expected songs played (Sample, DwD) and nothing too wild or outlandish. The YEM has nothing on the previous show's version, but is straightforward and still nice to listen to, and has no vocal jam. The highlight here is the 2001 which would still hold up just fine if it was in a regular two set show.
And that's it. Again, nothing to see here. I certainly don't feel the need to ever revisit this again, though if someone fired up this 2001 I wouldn't turn my nose up at it (it's still a '98 2001 after all). Hopefully this is our last interruption, and we can get back to the business of proving my theory about this portion of the band's career.
