Decent enough audience recording for this show. The levels run hot and the sound is a bit tinny, but overall enjoyable given the intimate setting. The master recording is from a Dat source. The digi-farts during Landlady confirm this. Hopefully the Dat Master finds it’s way into circulation!The circulating source sounds like a Cass/1 to my ears.

Things open with an electrifying Landlady. Well played Foam. Trey takes the crowd to a carnival on the outskirts of Gamehendge for Esther. I remember him doing a similar rap a few other times before Esther in ‘89/‘90. Pretty straightforward mid set Mike’s Groove. The intro to Cavern is slightly extended. A few sour notes during TMWSIY but well played overall. There’s a harsh cut during Mike’s solo in Avenu. The end of Golgi cuts out. Apparently the power went out. It sounds like some people split after the power cut out because Set 2 is far more intimate.

Set 2 starts off with the band shushing the crowd down to absolute silence. The audience of maybe 30ish get completely silent before Trey starts up Coil. A nice Buried Alive segues out of Pages solo. Solid Reba. During Llama I couldn’t help but think how lucky this small group of folks were to be seeing a band of this caliber in such an intimate setting! Unfortunately there’s a cut at the start of the jam in Sky. This version of Love You features not only Fish introducing the band but the entire crew of four as well. He starts with Andrew Fischbeck as he forgot to mention him the other night in Salem, VA. More shushing follows HYHU. lol Trey raps about Gamehendge some more before transitioning into Lizards. The audience claps off-beat to the “If I were a dog” section of Lizards. Before the encore Trey thanks the audience and says he hasn’t played to a crowd this attentive in at least 5 years! The band shushes the audience once again. lol. Trey says “you guys are gonna get your chance to join in at the end of this one” before launching into a rare YEM encore! Enjoyable version with another inspired VJ. “Shut up! Shhh! Fun show!
