Review by thelot

thelot The sound quality for night 2 of El Dorado leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are there multiple cassette generations in the source lineage, but the pitch is pretty sharp as well. The quality is similar for the second set but fortunately the pitch is correct.

It sounds like less people showed up for night 2. Apparently, this was the last night the bar was open for the season. Things heat up right out of the gate with a rockin’ Bowie. Pretty straightforward version overall but enjoyable nonetheless. Decent Bag tonight. The jams always sound a little more intense when the pitch is sharp. Possum rips! Mike’s Groove closes out a nice first set. Groove was shredastic!

Set 2 kicks off with Golgi. Forbin>Mockingbird follows. This version features a brief narration. Bitch through Fee continues the setlist flow similar to something seen late ‘88 through early ‘89. The second version of Runaway Jim breaks the streak of old school tunes. This version still features the original verse. Foam and YEM are both solid. The vocal jam cuts at the end. The first Bike since 10/13/89 is up next. Trey welcomes his Majesty Phil Collins to suck on the Sac-Vac of Boulder to an ancient unknown version of Suss-Sussudio. lol Unfortunately, the Harpua closer is cut from the recording, as is BBFCFM. The levels drop off quite a bit for Contact. Only 2 repeats played over the two night stand.
