J_D_G I'm also a big "Spices" truther. And "Discern." Maybe it's part of my 2.0 propaganda stance. (When TTE was in rotation, I had a thing where I'd hear the very beginning in concert and say "Is this 'Discern'?!?" for some reason.

Did not realize they haven't played Spock's Brain in 3.0. Is that one of the last originals (besides a few very early ones) they haven't played since they came back? I'm calling it this summer.
In regards to originals they don't play anymore, the most tragic loss in my opinion is "Spices." That is such a beautiful song. Why they only played it twice, in the 2.0 era, and not even once since then, I'll never understand. The song was good enough to open a show with, so it can't be that bad. Maybe Trey decided he wanted to write a gorgeous epic song simply to play once or twice and then shelve it, just for the fun of upsetting people.
