Don't interact much with him anymore, but if you're reading this @waxbanks, curious why you chose the least "album" of all of Phish's earlier output. The beauty of the 33-1/3 series is that it approaches the album as an artifact, wrestling with the very thingness captured by a studio, a band in a studio, one day of a band in a studio, etc.

I realize it's all subjective and A Live One could very well have been THE gatekeeper to the love and passion you write so eloquently about. But c'mon. Even with the early Netters' suggestions I think the choices by the band for what to release were tepid save for the Tweezer. Never felt that the two discs flowed well at all, and frankly, haven't listened to it in probably 15 years. That Stash kills tho, if I recall.

Either way, definitely stoked for your book as you've always been one of the most articulate Phish dudes around. Keep em coming (I want the one about Burlington!)
