In terms of surprises--and this may sandwich in the new songs OR GD line item--I would add the use of new effects pedals, particularly Trey's mutron pedal (aka, the "Dancin in the Sts" a la '77 effect). That was a big take from the FTW practice that made it into Phish's sound this summer. Add to that the guitar swapping Trey employed throughout tour and you have an honorable mention for "Effects and Equipment Employed."

One more off the cuff observation/surprise: no Antelope Greg??? Was he spotted at any shows this tour?
