Loved your commentary on the Tahoe Tweezer...couldn't agree more on that. Also love the "I want Phish to play whatever the hell they want" rant. Definitely. I've always felt that if your opinion of a show is based on which songs they play, well, then I doubt you truly understand the nature of the music. For instance, complaining about a ballad in the middle of a set. They do write ballads and it's okay to play them once in a while.

I, too, clearly heard Ocelot coming out of the Gorge C&P and was shocked to hear Twist come out of that. However, on a similar note, I don't agree that it was jarring or annoying or whatever that Trey supposedly "ripcorded" Sand to go to Light in NJ. I thought the Sand jam had already peaked and was beginning to get repetitive. In other words, it was the right time to leave it behind. The segue was not buttery, however.

Categorically disagree that Gorge1 is a fluffed show. The second set is a psychedelic masterpiece. I wasn't at the venue so I'm not influenced by the setting. Just thought it was a killer show.

Also, lastly, I think AndrewRose is right on that you were too brief with your Toronto recap.

Okay, now truly lastly, I'm going to expose myself to sheer abuse and state emphatically that I think the first set of Bangor is one of the top three first sets of the whole tour. All classic songs perfectly nailed. Runaway was short but sweet. Stash was very good. Wolfman's was best-of-tour. Theme was excellent. Loved the Mikes> Silent> Weekapaug. Some excellent music there that you and many others just brushed aside like unwanted bar snacks.
