The vocal jam in YEM included Under the Boardwalk, Get a Job, and My Girl quotes. Clod was played outside of Fluffhead for the first time since February 7, 1988 (198 shows). Page teased Take the 'A' Train in Bathtub Gin. Before and after Brain, Fish was introduced as Marco Esquandolas. Harpua included a Third Stone From the Sun tease and Sunshine of Your Love teases. In response to some fans chanting "Elvis", Trey changed the "The storm's gone!" to "It's Elvis!" and Mike subsequently spoke in an Elvis Presley voice. Take the 'A' Train contained a Flintstones theme tease from Trey.  The second encore may be filler from another show.

Review by DollarBill

DollarBill This is another nice, but average show for the fall of '89.

Even though Melt is pretty new, it makes for a solid opener here. Ok Kee Pa > Suzy was good, though Suzy had a lot of cuts in the recording. There was some funny stage banter from Trey before an ok Rocky Top was played. Fee was also just ok in my book. Sky was pretty good, and is starting to really come together over all and rock. Bag was good, as was the new My Sweet One from Fishman. Old tape flips and/or poor editing cut most of YEM, which is kind of a let down. You get to hear the ending jam though, which was funny, but standard. La Grange sounded a little off to me, and was kind of a weak cover to close up first set.

Hood is a solid second set opener, and the new Gin is still settling in and getting better each time. Mike's was good, the usual seven minutes for this time period. Hydrogen was pretty good, and Weekapaug rocked until the recording cut it off. Bummer... I didn't go looking for another source, so that's all I heard of this one. Looks like they played a really fun back half to the second set and had great encores too.

Again, not bad, not awesome, just a nice, average fall '89 show. Check it out if you're into old school Junta and Lawn Boy material.

thelot Crispy SBD available for this show! There are some cuts during the show that are pretty annoying though. I must say the quality this tour has been pretty consistent.

Split Opens things up. Suzy has some annoying little cuts. Nice transition from Sky into Bag. Another strong version of Bag tonight. YEM cuts out after a minute in. ;) The rest isn’t on Relisten but it looks like the whole thing is available on the main source. Solid La Grange to close set 1.

Hood is always a welcome set opener. Beautiful version. You could practically hear a pin drop at the start of the jam. About 17 seconds into Hydrogen Trey says “I parked my bike at ?? school”? Fantastic version of Weekapaug that cuts during a sizzling jam. I’m listening through Relisten so it looks like the other half is there on the original source. This is followed up by McGrupp that transitions into the now predictable Who Do? We Do! But just when think they’re about to transition to the next number they throw a curveball and continue into Clod! This transitions into Sloth. Brain always gets some good laughs. A pretty straightforward Possum wraps up set 2. The source sounds brighter when it cuts back in for the encore. Harpua has an Elvis chant from the crowd during the goldfish portion of the song which prompts Mike to deliver his best Elvis (dad) impression. lol A Train has a fun solo from Mike tonight. Great version of Antelope to close things out! Nothing out of the ordinary tonight but some great Fall ‘89 goodness.

Lifeboy444 A good show overall. Highlights of the first set are Melt, Suzy, Divided Sky, AC/DC Bag, and La Grange. La Grange was full of energy and an amazing closer for the first set Highlights of the second set are Harry, Bathtub Gin, The Lizards, and Possum. The best of the encores is Antelope, which made for a nice closer for the show. Overall, a pretty good show with some great standout tracks.
