Magilla featured a guest appearance from Bryan Smith on trombone and a Rhythm-A-Ning tease from Trey. Adeline was chosen as the encore because of curfew issues.

Review by TheEmu

TheEmu It sounds like there is actually some really ripping work from the boys on this one, including a Foam which has some unique zest (despite a little sloppiness), Cavern with a little pop, some nice Cactus at the end of Mockingbird (despite a fairly rough Forbin), and especially a really fiery Chalkdust Torture. All of that is pretty much masked, though, by the atrocious sound quality on the available recording. It improves a little as the show goes on, but overall it's really hissy and not a good listen. So, despite the high points above and the remainder of the show being average-great, I'm going to have to go two stars unless I can hear a crispier recording.

thelot The Nak cm300 audience source for this show sounds great! The source on YouTube has some annoying fades and cuts throughout the second set. I doubt the circulating FLAC source has these issues, so that would be the source to seek out.

I reviewed Set 1 previously. Of course this source was a far more enjoyable listen! Set 2 is highlighted by a fantastic Tweezer and a strong GXBX set closer.

thelot Really poor recording for this show due to multiple cassette generations. Also, the pitch is a hair sharp.

Things open with a fiery Buried Alive. Foam has an atypical opening. Well played Sky. Solid YEM. Bryant Smith adds his talents on trombone to a decent Magilla . Trey takes a nice solo in Llama to close out set 1.

Not much to review for set 2 as the tape cuts out a minute or so into Landlady. Jim is the highlight of the partial second set.
