Wilson included a Simpsons signal. Trey teased Mike's Song in It's Ice. Trey sang the verses of Fee through a megaphone. Reba contained a quote of (They Long to Be) Close to You from Trey and did not have the whistling ending. Sweet Adeline and Carolina were performed without microphones. Dog Faced Boy through Cavern, which contained the older, alternate lyrics, were performed acoustic without microphones. This hot Antelope included a Disease-style jam segment.

Review by johnnyd

johnnyd More of a show note than a review, but check out Antelope for a distinctively "First Tube"-like jam. Obviously there was no First Tube at this time, but the similarity is there - its a two chord bounce, and the interval is the same as in the ending part of First Tube. Trey and Mike holding the progression down with Page going bonkers over the top.

Start around 13:10 (LP time) when the texture of the jam changes. By 13:40 the similarity is evident, and this rolls for a full minute until it flows into the DWD-style jam.

kipmat Two nights before GameHoist, the boys elect to mix up the setlist for the second set with a few chestnuts from the Nectar's days, Halley's > Curtain > McGrupp. Trey starts the riff to Simple in a slightly lower key than usual, which fits with the song's loose arrangement (they would tighten this one up between tours). Sanity is also in a different key than usual, and the weirdness continues into a raging Llama that includes Trey yelling along to the notes he is playing - reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Toons :) You already know the Demand > Antelope 2nd set opener, but don't let it stop you from hearing the rest of this set!

Review by goatsticks

goatsticks pretty solid '94 type show, solid playing throughout, really nice zest from the band. seek out this Reba if nothing else, this shit is HOT. The Antelope is a scorcher as well, previous reviewer is spot on with the First Tube-esque section, although it doesn't last long, and probably serves as a set up for the Disease licks. The show notes mention a 'disease-style jam segment', but it's Disease in the flesh from Trey for a few measures. Really fun antelope, hell of a way to get the second set going. Hear this Reba post haste!
