Review by Offshoredrilling

Offshoredrilling Well, I think it’s safe to say that was the show of the tour. Maybe some attendance bias, but just an absolute face melter. Ghost to close the set was amazing, psychedelic phish. Entire first set was awesome. We all knew a tweezer was coming, but when the first few notes hit, it was blast off. Blissful phish. Amazing night. Thinking about how songs that were once brand new, like SANTOS, but are now absoute mind bending set closers, is the true musicianship of these guys.

Review by tweezedout

tweezedout Here is my take on the show...

Outstanding first 3 quarters.

Jams were toptier 4.0 Phish. Type 2 everywhere -- funky, spacey, jazzy, rockin, weird -- all of the above. Bag was extended, Sparkle was fun, BOTT always rips hard on Type 1, and most of us crave Foam.

Tweezer was exceptional. It kept me engaged the whole time. In one segment I thought they were moving into 'All Along the Watchtower.' So many segments in 19 mins and so funky.

Wingsuit I love; a lot of phans hated this move. I love these spacey jams though because you can hear all of the band members communicate so well as they weave in and amongst the patterns. Give Trey this space in 4.0 and you hear some of his best playing in my opinion.

Back to Tweezer.. awesome, sure, why not. Let us boogie more. Birds of a Feather, same thing. Sure! Kept the crowd pumped and moving.

Joy is a mixed bag. Personally, I love this song. It's a good time to self reflect which is really more beneficial for my life style at this point. At the same time, I want to dance like a lunatic and this song does bring the crowd energy down. Absolutely gorgeous song, but it does something to the show.

I love the song Taste and the jam is always fire though I would love some longer builds from both Trey and Page. And I wish Trey would strum the rhythm like he used to.

If they go into YEM right here it might have been a 4.5 to 5 star show. 4 complete quarters using Joy as the cool down. Substituting Joy with another Tweezer segment you're looking at a 5 star for sure (I feel, in an all encompassing Phan eye).

But that's okay. When we take a step back we realize that we're spoiled rotten. These guys give us everything they have on a night to night basis and they are brilliant. How lucky we are!

4 star show!

Review by wwboynton

wwboynton Absolutely blazing couple of sets. The Ghost was a great closer to the first set, the Tweezer was monstrous, The Taste was a 50+ show breakout and fit right in, and the Birds was just staggeringly upbeat and clean. They played right up to that curfew with the Tweeprise and having been here a few years ago for the Three-prise, it was a nice trip down memory lane. Attendance bias? Definitely. Best show of the tour so far? Yes.

Review by LiveFeeOrDie

LiveFeeOrDie Wow, never seen a Tweezer get the All Along the Watchtower treatment like that, fucking beautiful. Places I’ve been, but to which I’ve never gone. Setlists are getting the treatment this tour, never sleep on anything (not that Tweezer was ever a sleeper). What they are doing right now, melding the best of old and new alike, has been sublime and only gets stronger by the day. Sometimes it gets ragged around the edges as the step into the abyss, but that’s where the magic is. That’s why we are here, and let’s not forget these fleeting moments because like our smiles as we leave the venue each night, we don’t know how many more we’ll get.

Review by Hippogator

Hippogator Who in the hell jealous "phans" are rating this below a 4? It's like y'all intentionally vote showa low because you cab't bare the fact that any given show might be bettwr than your favorite show you've been to. This show was incredible topbto bottom. Jams out thr gate, solid "cool down" song placement. Wingsuit was SO beautiful. Taste was mind melting. Tweezer was a savage jam. Might even go as far to say the 20+ minutes of Tweezer > Wingsuit > Tweezer was better than the Philly Taeezer fest. Maybe thats playing devil's advocate? Great people, great Vibes, incredible maestros. TASTE
