This is my first ever review on .net, because I have to share something magical that happened to me at this show! Our group headed to the lawn early to get a good spot. My excitement was at an all time high because we were about to see 3 nights of Phish at the most beautiful venue in the world. We had a big group of friends with us, some of whom had never seen Phish before. I thought all of my obsessing had finally paid off, and I was so excited that they finally wanted to see a show. Once we find a spot, my boyfriend of 6 years, Andrew, asks our friend to take a photo of us with the venue in the background. As our friend is taking the photo, I notice that all our other friends had their phones out, and think to myself “I wonder why they want this picture too?” The next thing I know, Andrew is holding my hands and looks me in the eyes as he begins to recite a poem he wrote using different Phish lyrics. He then gets down on one knee, busts out the ring, and says, “Hayley, will you marry me?” Of course I said YES!! I was in absolute SHOCK! It was the most beautiful moment of my life. I love this guy more than words can explain...Of course he planned the most epic proposal ever!!!!

Right after the proposal, Mike Gordon’s wife Susan just happened to be standing there and congratulated us. We introduced ourselves, and she asked us if we had any songs that we wanted to hear that night that would be appropriate for an engagement. Andrew said “Sparkle” would be a good one... well, what song do they play in the second set?! Sparkle! And what song do they play immediately after? “Halley’s Comet,” which has always been my song and one that I always hope to hear. I knew in my heart that it was not a coincidence at all. That was the first time they’ve ever done those songs back-to-back! They played it for us!!! I still get chills when I think about it. To top it off, they closed the set with “Waste.” The night and weekend was the most magical time of my life. THANK YOU PHISH for continuing to blow my mind and heart wide open!

I loved this show. Dug the funk in Wolfman's, the beauty of Roggae, and the spookiness of the Undermind>Simple. Then a big ole' CDT that covered some varied terrain, peaked nicely (albeit untraditionally) then settled down and we got some spooooooky stuff yet again. I always welcome MFMF, and the Fuego that came after wasn't too shabby either. Shades of the Mayan Fuego...The jam in Light is very cool, especially the second half. It really ends on a dime. Waste is beautiful as always and the Rock and Roll had a little extra mustard to close out the set. Great stuff from the Phish this evening. Excited for night 2

This is definitely one of those shows where you don't expect it to be that good. The second set was peak after peak in energy, songs seamlessly melting together. To top it off, a Tube, Golgi encore was a sign of how much the music just wasn't ready to be stopped playing. This is one of those shows that just sneaks up on you and when you're in it, you're absolutely Phish'd. Such a great crowd too! Personal highlights: Simple, Ya Mar, Sand and CDT, My friend, Fuego. They were really telling a story and looked like they were just "feeling it."

Out of the entire run I really think this show had the highest energy. The anticipation of what was to come really had the place buzzing. This show is incredible and deserves a little higher rating IMO. Fishman added a nice cowbell beat in the wolfmans that was a change from the standard. Mike killed Roggae. Simple featured some new sounds from both Trey and Page, I've never heard those sounds made in that jam. YA MAR is an amazing summer addition. SAND WENT IN! trey was shredding it to pieces.

Chalkdust man. Just listen. Dug the my friend Fuego set up. Halley's comet is a definite highlight for me. Light jam was pretty good besides some disconnection at the back end which let to waste.

Tube jam found its pocket really quickly before piddling out into the blues riff. Gogli was perfect to end the night.

This is a solid 4 star show. Set Your Soul Free is a better song than Infinite is and had just as good of a jam segment. Really excited about these new tunes and it really feels that the band is getting good jamming energy from there. One day soon these songs will break out in a huge way. Wolfman's definitely packs an extra little punch. Is it just me or is Fishman finding some fresh new beats this tour? He kills it on this Wolfman's. I'll never complain about a Roggae in this spot, beautiful jam. Simple is really the meat of this set and an amazing jam. Until we get to this Chalkdust, jams seem to be staying a bit shorter so far during the tour. But this does not stop anything played so far from traveling far or going deep. This Simple is excellent. Ya Mar and Sand close out the set nicely.

Chalk Dust Torture gives us our first 20 minute jam of the tour so far minus YEM which doesn't count for this statistic. This jam ebbs and flows for a bit as they explore some quiet, darker spaces. I've read some complaints that they could have cut out a few minutes of this jam and it would have been just as good, but i'm just thankful that the boys are still willing to take the risks and let the jams float out there even if they don't catch a theme right away. We need to be patience in uncomfortable or familiar space if jams are going to shift into something truly spectacular. This jam doesn't quite get to that space, but really has an incredible peak. They try out some funk for a bit before letting the jam float into MFMF, which works nicely here. I've heard Fuego too much to ever get excited about this song as I'm sure is the case for people who saw Phish at all in 2014. This version though really kicks it up a notch and lands on some intriguing space and continues the solid flow of the set. I'll skip the fun songs and say that this Light is another example of Phish continuing to bring it later in the show this tour. Doesn't stick to the typical dissonant first jam and instead gets some nice melodic jamming that starts out darker and flips the switch to some major key jamming that shifts to a rocking ending.

Nothing but good things to say about the rest of this show. You're not getting anything out of this world, but a complete ending to a enjoyable show.
