TheEmu Take a moment, if you will, and listen to this version of Foam. Then listen to, for example, the R&R-> Meatstick-> Boogie On from the Gorge this year. Then take another moment and say "Thank You!" to the People for a Louder Mike.

Another solid show. The Alumni opener is pretty sweet, and the Tela > Oh Kee Pa > Suzy run is also excellent in set II. Weekpaug is excellent. Three stars for this show as well.

thelot Incredible sounding source for this show! A nice overall mix with just enough of the room mixed in to give it some life.

An MC starts off the show with some upcoming events before welcoming “the fellas from Burlington, VT…Phish!” The band gets the party started with Alumni and doesn’t let the foot off the gas for the rest of the show. A fine YEM follows with another amusing vocal jam. Possum keeps the energy up. Foam is spot on. Carolina provides a breather and Rocky Top continues the southern swing. Nice Trey solo on this one. DaaM>Ya Mar was a nice 1,2 punch. This smokin’ Antelope provides an exclamation point to end set 1.

Golgi kept the energy level high to start set 2. This slid into a divine version of Reba. A demented little Gin came next. Jesus Left was perfectly placed and featured some beautifully inspired solos from Page and Trey. Tela continues the great flow. Oh Kee Pah starts up slowly as it segues out of Tela but quickly speeds up to its typical break neck pace. This slams into a fun Suzy complete with a full on Low Rider tease. Solid Mike’s Groove followed with an electrifying Groove! Highway to Hell wrapped up a pumpin’ second half! For the encore the band appropriately follows up the last number with a tender Contact. I Didn’t Know features Vinni Barbarino on vacuum. They follow this up with a rippin’ GXBX to close things out. Top notch show tonight!

thelot @sanitynevercame shared his memories of his first show with me that should be noted… “The "MC" was my good friend Christopher Ptomey, who co-ran the concert series that brought Phish to Haverford. He remains a major phan. I love that introduction, with the band starting to play before he even finishes....”
