2 songs in, Trey expresses his gratitude for this New Hampshire area ("We always love to play here, so thanks to everybody") while Mike replaces a string he broke during The Landlady, saying that "you know it's gonna be a hot night" when Mike breaks a string during the first song. I'd say the show is average for era, which does not take away from the fact that it does indeed sound like a hot night. Trey also takes that string-changing opportunity to plug the openers The Aquarium Rescue Unit ("They're the best band I've ever seen"), telling the crowd to get to their upcoming shows together at the Somerville and Capitol Theatres early.
Highlights of this night come in the form of Page's solo in Suzy leading to a great Bowie intro and following jam to end the first set. The Weekapaug plays with timing and almost falls off the rails but manages to stay on track, with Trey soloing some in the DEG style, as well as with a particular scale he's been fond of all year that will eventually form part of It's Ice. Stash is also a little extra hotter than usual, as is Llama, and it's nice to hear Divided Sky at the end of a show rather than it's usual 1st quarter placement. Solid 3-3.5 star show.

Fantastic audience recording available for this show. The acoustics aren’t great in the Field House being a big open gymnasium, but it really makes me nostalgic listening to audience recordings from this venue as I saw my second show there. Big thanks to John Redmond once again for another great early recording!

Donny Emerick from the Outing Club introduces the band to the stage and warns the crowd of the police presence in the building. lol Like Buffalo, they start the evening off with Sweet Adeline. A well played Landlady follows. Afterwards Trey takes a moment to thank NH for their support throughout the bands 7 years. He also mentions that Mike broke a string in the first tune so “you know it’s gonna be a hot gig!” Solid Jim. Reba soars. Cool hi-hat hijinx section. Straightforward rippin’ Bowie set closer.

I ate some mushroom chocolates for this second. I won’t give a play by play but I will say it was pretty awesome!
