Review by Egeffy

Egeffy My first Phish show.. I was living in chicago at the time and my phrend Adam Katz dragged me to this very small venue.
I would have to guesstimate it holds between 500-1,000, all standing with long long bar. Tickets were to be had outside the night of the show for no trouble and rather affordable. Sadly, I can not recall any of the songs at all because I did not know the band's music so my biggest memory was a song that I was thinking sounded exactly like Zappa, then it is possible that they might have mentioned Zappa ? but I am not sure on the latter... Either way it was a fun show, sorry I cant provide any more details than that.
Peace...

Review by TheEmu

TheEmu There was a sweet emotion tease/quote in Tweezer. That's about the extent of the interesting things I can think of about this show. Unfortunately, the version available on the spreadsheet is pretty low quality, and the master tape must have gotten warped, because it gets pretty mangled during Tweezer. There are some cuts and other stuff, too. Don't mean to criticize the spreadsheet, it's an amazing resource and I love it! But you can skip this show.

thelot If this wasn’t a Cass/7 or so, it’d probably be a halfway decent audience source. Lots-o’-warts!

DaaM>Bouncin’ seems to be making a comeback in ‘91! lol Bouncing cuts and the beginning of Landlady is cut. Llama has a red hot solo from Trey. Pretty standard YEM for this tour. Reba’s nice but has an annoying cut just before the climax. Raging Possum to close out the first half.

The beginning of Guelah is cut halfway into set 2. Nice Sweet Emotion jam/tease in Tweezer. Weird tape warble towards the end of Tweezer and continues through to Jim. Before the encore, Trey urges everyone to go check out Dee-Lite the following night and says that they’ll be there. The encore is standard fair.
