MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 409

Welcome to the 409th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the ~~final~~ penultimate contest of March - thanks to MJM Hall of Famer @justino for crafting this puzzle! The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of all three mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Answer: Congrats to first-time MJM winner, @Chicken_Sub_In_Your_Hand, who takes home their first LivePhish code in the process. Impressively, they identified all three clips before the hint dropped, not falling into the August 9th jams or "Mike's Song" jams traps @justino had expertly laid, and nailed all three Alpine jams: 8/10/96 "Bathtub Gin," 8/9/97 "Mike's Song," and 8/9/15 "Mike's Song." What's the theme for having two Mike's and a Gin?

I got the first one pretty quickly based off of hearing Trey's distinctive 2015 MuTron-heavy tone but just spent the last half hour combing through every Mike's from 99 and 2000 lol

Last week's answer: Answer: Congrats to @serpent_deflector on win #6, leaving him just one short of the Hall of Fame! This week he joined the Garden Party and tracked down the three non-NYE MSG clips: 7/30/17 "Drowned," 10/22/96 "Scent of a Mule," and 12/3/09 "Down with Disease." Swing by Monday to see how clean MJM409 is.

So, "see how clean MJM409 is" did mean a clip was gonna be a Bathtub.

My guess was 3 New York State, non-MSG shows (Randalls Island, Nassau Coliseum, and Saratoga), going off last week's non NYE MSG jams (and was obviously wrong, again).

@stevemott: that's some clever thinking, but it was just a 409 joke - it's hard to see, but the numbers in last week's and this week's post are linked out respectively to a picture of a bottle of 409 and a funny quote from "Up In Smoke"

Neither has anything to do with the puzzle though - it's just quarantine brain at work

Thanks for that helpful info @uctweezer. (As if I didn't feel dumb enough, already, lol.)

My savant skills of guessing jams are just about gone. I thought that third clip was a little like the Mike's from Watkins Glen, but I second guessed myself. That would have been, at least, close. Oh well.

Thanks for a little brain relief, in these times of heightened anxiety.
