On Your Way Down

cactusfan Well said! This whole show is smoking hot, the second set especially. I mean how deep, dark and on fire does a second set have to be to be able to end--successfully!--with Waste?

Far and away the most scorching On Your Way Down ever played. I wish like hell for this show to see an official release.

kipmat You can keep all the My Souls and Funky Bitches, all the JJLC's and La Grange's, all the Possums and Llamas and Buried Alive's and everything else - this slow, serious performance is my pick for Trey's best blues guitar solo *ever*. It's a shame that Page's Hammond B-3 solo doesn't come through on the AUDs, but Trey's guitar sure does, and he wails through three choruses with plenty of blue feeling. It sounds to me almost as if the guitar is the only thing keeping all the band's demons at bay, or lamenting the fallen stars of bands that were at one time peers of Phish, but no longer.
