This is a fiery Trey Anastasio show. This band is absolutely phenomenal. The second half of 2006 has some great performances, but Asheville is probably the best single show of the 2nd half of 2006. This drummer and bassist don’t mess around. If you listen to Original Boardwalk Style, you’ll get a good taste of what Trey’s band was doing, although I found the band was overplaying during the New Years run. Not to mention Trey’s bust was shortly after the Asheville show I saw. But if you can find the audience recording of this, it sounds AMAZING, and trust me, the show is amazing as well. Highly recommended.
