Review by waxbanks

waxbanks The meat of this show is a wonderfully *contemplative* 46 > Tweezer > 2001 > LxL run, especially interesting since 'contemplative' isn't the first word you'd associate with those first three songs! 46 Days starts off snarling'n'spitting, but after a dark climax there's a delicious ambient bridge into Tweezer, which climbs for seven minutes and slides deliciously downward for four (recalling the epochal 2/28/03 Tweezer in the coda). We land in a brief low-key 2001, which sets up a delicate Limb by Limb, and the rest of the show is standard-fine. Definitely look up this second set - and for an eerie companion piece, track down the haunted 7/18 Twist.
