Date Song City Timing Notes
1990-10-06 Possum Port Chester, NY 10:12 Improvisational jamming is spread throughout, as if in step with the musical ideas flowing from the mind of Trey.
1990-11-24 Possum Port Chester, NY 8:22 Some nice "Manteca" teases/jamming. Mike is really awesome on this one.
1990-11-24 Bowie Port Chester, NY 12:06 Vicious tension and dissonance building. A great short version with teases taboot.
1991-04-27 Possum Port Chester, NY 8:18 Great intro and a nice and different jam with cool staccato picking by Trey.
1991-04-27 Tweezer Port Chester, NY 10:02 Very strong early version. "Dr. Q" on the bass! Trey teases "Sweet Emotion."
1991-11-30 Llama Port Chester, NY 4:42 Unfrickenbelievable.
1991-11-30 Brother Port Chester, NY 6:02 After a gentle, settling "Squirming Coil", we have something akin to a combination of "Carini" and "46 Days" on steroids, except that this "Brother" was performed 6 years before either of those beasts were hatched.
1991-11-30 YEM Port Chester, NY 19:44 Wild VJ.
1991-11-30 Hood Port Chester, NY 13:28 Great and playful intro. The jam is excellent and rocking, and Machine Gun Trey's playing is simply incredible.
1991-11-30 It's Ice Port Chester, NY 8:57 Another version in which the whole band kicks in after letting Page shine briefly.
1992-05-14 Fluffhead Port Chester, NY 14:34 If there is any single section that has tripped up the band over the years, it is The Chase, and this version provides a nearly flawless example, proof that it can be done. Meanwhile, you may notice a bit of a wobble at the end of Who Do? We Do! This song is merciless on the performers. Some awesome and swinging Page and Mike are on display in Clod, and a top notch Arrival features some really sick trilling by Mr. Trey Anastasio. Great performance.
1992-05-14 Mike's Port Chester, NY 7:48 Mike and Fish kick it off nicely, then Trey provides some great variation in his playing, including some rapid-fire trilling. The short 2nd jam gets intense and electrifying, with more solid machine gun action from Trey.
1992-05-14 Weekapaug Port Chester, NY 4:57 Very cool jam, with a "Jimmy Crack Corn" tease/jam, then a -> to "Wait", which is excellent and includes a "Call To The Post" tease, followed by a -> back to "Weekapaug" to wrap up an improvisational and excellent version.
1992-05-14 Wait Port Chester, NY 1:45 -> in from an excellent "Weekapaug." Great version of "Wait" with a "Call To The Post" tease and -> back to "Weekapaug."
1992-05-14 Weekapaug Port Chester, NY 3:39 -> in from an excellent "Wait" sandwich to wrap up a great and entertaining "Weekapaug."
1992-05-14 McGrupp Port Chester, NY 9:22 Trey and Mike offer great backing to Page, especially Mike as the jam section progresses, and Fish keeps the engine clicking along nicely throughout.
1992-11-27 Divided Port Chester, NY 16:45 Outstanding version, an anomaly that jams far longer than any other performance prior to 10/31/94. Of course Trey is blistering here, but this also has a distinctly quiet, settled section that anticipates the band's less rocking, more restrained sound in the later '90s.
1992-11-27 SOAMelt Port Chester, NY 9:35 Very cool and exploratory jam includes a nice quiet section and some good, rhythm-oriented jamming.
1992-11-27 Possum Port Chester, NY 10:39 Great tension building, multiple peaks and shredding Trey in a roaring "Possum."
1992-11-27 Bowie Port Chester, NY 13:28 Jam starts in a quiet, pensive style, but picks up a head of steam, getting nasty and intense.
1992-11-28 Foam Port Chester, NY 9:38 Awesome build-up section with Machine Gun Trey taking a strong lead position.
1992-11-28 Stash Port Chester, NY 10:16 Great, inspired version which gets out there and has very good Fish/Trey teaming.
1992-11-28 Mike's Port Chester, NY 9:22 Beginning with excellent "Walk This Way" jamming, the energy builds up to the first break. After a momentary cloud of dissonance, a percussive, exploratory groove expands nicely. A great version with 2 equally strong jams.
1992-11-28 Avenu Malkenu Port Chester, NY 9:40 Blistering, ripping version. Trey is sick!
