Nice work, @uctweezer. I can only imagine that crafting a representative review proves much more daunting a task than someone in the peanut gallery might otherwise assume. The tone strikes me as a tad harsh in places, but if it's an honest response then I will take it over disingenuous, flat-line "objectivity" any day.
Thanks @makisupaman. I told the .net staff that I have a newfound respect for what they do. I'm embarrassed to say how long I spent working on this review, and it's tough to spend the time I should have been spending resting up for Saturday night, writing about Friday night still. Props to those who bang out these recaps tour-in, tour-out.

And while I agree that I may have been a bit harsh in some places, I tried my best to describe what I saw and felt, and if that sort of thing doesn't get to other people at all then more power to you! I had a really good time at the show, and I'm torn about the whole WOOO! thing. If the band precipitates it and "asks for it", I'm down. I'm not Wilson: I can still have fun. The thing is that breaks in the music, stop / start, and silent sections are things that this band uses musically and has for many years, and I feel like we're intruding on that important space if we WOOO! every time they do that. I won't let a talker ruin my show experience at all, but it is a bummer because while normally I would just move away from the talkers, I was with a dozen of my friends and wanted to dance and hang with them. Also, I chat a bit during the show and crack jokes with my friends, but I keep my voice down and lean in to my friends if I want to say something. The clapping during Coil was sad for me because I really wanted to lock in on Page doing one of the most beautiful things he does, but it was a little swamped by some of the crowd. Thanks for reading!
