This show was part of the Fuji Rock Festival and took place on the Field of Heaven stage. Ghost contained Brick House teases. Before Bike, Fish told the crowd that he would play guitar instead of vacuum because the Electrolux vacuum did not make the trip to Japan. Afterwards, Trey said that the song was meant to impress Yoshimi, the drummer from The Boredoms, because Fish has “a crush on her.”

Review by GallopingGhost

GallopingGhost This show tends to fly under the radar but it is well worth a listen. The soundboard recording of this show is just sweeet! The vocals are light but you can hear the band's instruments crystal clear.

Highlight of the show... easily DWD. This disease is really something special and one of my all-time favorites. Trey is soaring up & down scales. It is always fun to listen to a show played in a foreign country, especially japan because the band plays without too much pressure; considering that most phans didn't make it out to those shows they play with ease (almost like a series of soundcheck jams)

Other Highlight: Ghost, Funky B, Julius

I would definitely give this one a download... it's like listening to studio phish...except it's not studio

Review by Bob_Loblaw

Bob_Loblaw A couple notes on this one.

Everything played is pretty consistent for the most part. Sample has a great solo, Stash is above average. But what really delivers is the Ghost, with it's beautiful experimental ambiance. Whatever it is about Japan it seems to bring out beauty and top notch ambiance.

DWD kicks things off steaming and the jam seems to kind of pick up where Ghost left off, which I have no complaints about. Reba was standard to above average. Bike has a hilarious guitar solo by Fish, which is one of those "Is this crap? Or is this jazz?" kind of playing. And Jim has a fantastic conclusion and is just top notch, well above average.

Personally this show is a 4 teetering on a 3. But it is an extremely enjoyable listen and the peaks although seldom are very high.
